The Waste Reduction Store

The Waste Reduction Store started from the desire to reduce landfill waste associated with disposable food containers made from polystyrene, plastic and paper that are not recycled. It was the first Canadian company to specialize in the distribution of certified compostable food ware and the promotion of institutional, corporate and industrial composting.

Over the years The Waste Reduction Store developed industry expertise in the area of product vetting, legislation and certification of compostable products; composting standards and environmental solutions; carbon credits and offsets; and corporate green washing. Founder and CEO Kathleen Boylan, with a longstanding interest and exposure to environmentalism, expanded her network of contacts through The Waste Reduction Store.

Today The Waste Reduction Store maintains distribution of certified compostable products and numerous others products to support more sustainable practices in the food service industry.
